I think the new library is beautiful, but I really dislike the parking deck and solicitors every time I go there. There are very few spots dedicated to the library and it’s a very tight space. I hate parking there. I witnessed an accident too because the corners are such a tight squeeze, especially when two cars are trying to pass each other. Who designed this garage?? Every time I go I’m bothered by the same tree organization to donate money. They want to give you their speech every time too. It’s very annoying to deal with every time, so I visit the other library locations instead.

Wonderful library located in downtown Cary. Friendly and super helpful librarians. They also have computers and study spaces (including a quiet study room), but they are often full (or at least when I am there). Free parking in the garage with direct access to the library entrance. The book suggestions they have are also super helpful if you are undecided. The library also hosts community events and other educational program.

One of the best libraries I have visited. Clean and well maintained place. Kids playground and park right next to the building. Free public parking available. I enjoy the view from the second floor.

I've visited multiple times. Very clean and organized library. The librarians here seem overly engaged with each other and not the customers, which is fine because I know how to find my book, and I rarely seek assistance unless there are issues. The knowledge level of technology and library software was poor. The staff who assisted me seemed clueless. I approached her to inform her that the self check out kiosk wasn't working instead of using critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills. Both are necessary for librarians - her response was, "it's just a matter of checking out the book" I had to explain to her the option was not on the kiosk, which is why I approached her to check it out. I whether not interact with the Librarians just as much as they prefer not to do their job by engaging with customers. The employee was willing to check me out but did not empathize with the kiosk issue. The selection and quality of books I get here are the best. The WPL app is extremely handy for requesting my holds, and this location is convenient to home and from work to swing by for my books. Adding another star leaves this review at a 3*. If it weren't for the book selection, organization, and cleanliness, this would be a 2* at best due to the poor customer interaction and the glitchy kiosk technology issue on Thursday night, 2/23/23.

This was my favorite library, scifi/fantasy section is separated from general adult fiction which is nice. Only reason I won’t be visiting anytime soon and will look for alternative library is because of the parking deck. With the beautiful park opening up, the parking deck is PACKED. Makes me nervous dealing with all the cars trying to reverse, children running in and out of cars, etc. Also agree with how loud this library can get. If you want a quiet & peaceful visit, I would visit another library.
